Watch: Messi scores in less than 3 minutes against Celtic

It took Lionel Messi all of three minutes to find the back of the net against Celtic in Barcelona‘s opening fixture in the 2016-17 Champions League, with the diminutive Argentine smashing his shot past Dorus De Vries with ferocity.

Messi combined wonderfully with Neymar in the buildup to the goal, with the two blond-haired attackers linking up with Luis Suarez for the first time this season in the infamous “MSN” trio that has dominated in the last two years.

The goal also marks a personal record for the Argentina man:

Lionel Messi’s 3rd-minute goal is the earliest of his 84 career Champions League goals. #UCL
