Barcelona handed contract extensions to longtime defender Gerard Pique, goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen, midfielder Frenkie De Jong, and center-back Clement Lenglet on Tuesday.
Barcelona extended Pique’s deal until June 2024, Ter Stegen’s until June 2025, De Jong’s until June 2026, and Lenglet’s until June 2026.
The agreements “include a temporary salary adjustment due to the current circumstances brought about the COVID-19-induced crisis,” the club said in a statement.
The announcement was made shortly after Barcelona’s 5-1 win over Ferencvaros in the Champions League group stage.
