There were plenty of teams interested in signing Iniesta following confirmation that he would leave Barcelona after 22 years with the Catalan side, but the 34-year-old ultimately chose to join Vissel Kobe.

“I had a lot of offers, other clubs showed an interest in me,” Iniesta said, according to BBC Sport, during a press conference in Tokyo.

“I chose Vissel Kobe because it was an interesting project.”
