Real Sociedad came out of nowhere to sign David Silva on a free transfer Monday, beating Lazio to the 34-year-old’s signature.
Silva had agreed to join the Serie A side on a three-year contract before changing course, according to The Guardian’s Fabrizio Romano.
The former Manchester City midfielder instead signed a two-year deal with La Real to return to La Liga.
